Hotel Savoy - Bern

Cozy hotel, excellent location, nice staff, parking close by.

This hotel met what was needed in every way, would recommend. This stylish property was immaculately clean. The location was ideal and efficient, not too far from Clock Tower. Plus, it was close to metro bus as well as train and public transport. The genuinely helpful and very amiable staff members provided a few recommendations. The service was very good, I was offered an enjoyable and adequate breakfast with beans and most food in Bern, as for instance.

Cleanliness and location

There's not enough room for breakfast and breakfast itself isn't so good.

The staff were helpful and courteous and despite the enormous problems we incurred with the room, always took a professional approach if not misguided

The junior suite was large but had twin beds. The shower dripped and was not what I would expect of a supposed 4star hotel. The bed was uncomfortable and their was no shower gel provided. Overall the first room was not worth the 275 chf paid. Asking to change to a new room with a double bed was not an issue and we were given a choice of smaller rooms with a double bed. It turned out much later that this was on the side of the hotel where all the nightclubs are. The nightclub goers start leaving at 1 am and continue until 7am at least. It felt like we were in the middle of a war zone and would have beengood if the hotel had warned us. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and is not in our opinion worthy of 4 stars. It was overprice

Our room was very big. The location is excellent because the hotel is only 100 m from the train station and it is in the old town. It is only a short walk to all attractions. Nice hotel!

Enjoyed our a nice size and well-kept rooms.

We had enjoyable and adequate breakfast plus good service. The room was kept very clean and available with brand new interior as well as nespresso machine...

Perfectly clean. Nice and quiet, comfortable beds and in very convenient central location. Helpful friendly staff.

Not exactly a spacious hotel - so no grande lobby or lounge just a small but good cafe, but perfectly ok as a base in central bern.

I would classify the hotel as a good 3-star hotel, never 4-stars. The price was far too high, and breakfast wasn't even included! CHF 25 per breakfast was a bit much I found.

The location of the hotel just yards from the station is great.

My room on the top (4th) floor was persistently cold, the radiator just didn't get very hot at all. Asked several times for it to be looked at but no response. Also there was only cnn in English on the tv, cnn is boring, Sky News would be better if they can only afford one English channel. Breakfast is also very expensive for what you get chf25.

The excellent very helpful receptionist and the hotels central location

The room smelled terribly of cigar smoke and it was a non smoking room! I should have asked to change but didn't due to lack of time.

We enjoyed a refreshing swim in the Aare river. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our comfort room was spacious, and the location was perfect for exploring. Don't forget to try the breakfast, even if it's a bit unusual. Highly recommend this place!

We had trouble finding the public parking garage, which took us about 40 minutes. It would be helpful if they provided a map to make it easier .
